SketchUp Guide

Terms of Use

SketchUp Guide is a free collection of guides for SketchUp. You can read and use the guides without an account, and nothing on the site is sold. These terms explain what you can expect from the guides and how you may reuse them.

An independent site

SketchUp Guide is not part of Trimble and is not endorsed by Trimble. SketchUp is a trademark of Trimble Inc., and SketchUp product names appear here only to describe the software the guides cover. Names of extensions and other products belong to their owners.

Using the guides

Every guide is written against Trimble's SketchUp documentation and the version of SketchUp current when it was written. Trimble changes plans, menus and panels between releases, so check each step against your own version and plan before you rely on it. Before you follow steps that change files or licenses, such as updating SketchUp, resetting an activation or exporting over an existing drawing, save the model and keep a copy you can return to.

The guides are provided as they are, without a warranty that they fit your system, model or deadline. To the extent the law allows, SketchUp Guide is not liable for lost work, missed deliveries or other damage that results from following or misreading a guide. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Reusing the content

The text and images on this site belong to SketchUp Guide. You're welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the guide it came from. Republishing whole guides, copying images or feeding the articles into another site or product needs written permission first.

Guides link to Trimble's SketchUp help pages and other outside sources so you can check a claim at its origin. Those sites are run by others, and their own terms and policies apply once you follow a link.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the site grows, for example if a newsletter is added. The current version is always the one on this page.
